Rooftop Art Workshops
At Hôtel Dame des Arts, art is experienced in the present. In partnership with Le Paon, we are imagining a series of artistic workshops open to all, designed as creative pauses in the heart of the Left Bank.
Writing, drawing, collage, personal expression… each session invites you to slow down, to explore a gesture, an emotion, an intuition.
An artistic programme at the heart of our Hôtel
Dame des Arts · Paris Rive Gauche
Conceived as genuine experiences, these workshops extend the cultural world of Hôtel Dame des Arts. In collaboration with Le Paon, they come to life in the presence of artists who guide each session and share their practice in a vivid and accessible way.
Each workshop becomes a time for exploration: drawing, painting, collaging, sculpting… gestures we sometimes set aside, rediscovered here without pressure, simply for the joy of creating.
Open to all levels, these sessions invite you to reconnect with your creative impulse, to slow down, to experiment with a material or technique, and to experience a different kind of moment in an inspiring setting.
Through the various dates and themes, this programme brings together contemporary creation, personal expression and the Parisian art of living — with one idea in mind: to create freely, and leave feeling lighter.
THE EXPERIENCES
Rooftop Sketching
An artistic workshop led by Juliette Plisson, in partnership with Le Paon, to draw Paris outdoors from the rooftop of Hôtel Dame des Arts. Learn to observe and sketch the Parisian rooftops, lines and iconic perspectives, through a free and sensitive approach to drawing.

Chinese Portrait in Watercolor
A watercolor workshop led by Célia Vongkorad, in partnership with Le Poan. Learn how to capture a personality through images—favorite objects, colors, everyday details, memories, or keywords—and bring them together in a poetic and personal illustrated spread.

Rooftop
Colour Cycle · Blue Ink
An ink workshop led by Marielle Durand, between the rooftop and Square Viviani, to explore nuance and depth through a single colour. In the morning, work on perspective and tonal values from the rooftop of Dame des Arts. In the afternoon, a dialogue between architecture and nature facing Notre-Dame. Learn to compose, simplify and create depth in monochrome.

Draw Paris in colours
An open-air art workshop led by Sabrina Chess. From one of Paris’s most stunning viewpoints, learn to see the city differently and simplify its landscapes. Using oil pastels and colored pencils, you’ll sketch the rooftops, lines, and iconic perspectives of the French capital.
Open to all – all levels welcome.
